First Week Fun!

We made it through the first full week of preschool! That doesn't sound like much, but the first week can be difficult on both students and parents. The new routine of a school day can take a toll on kiddos, which can take a toll on the family.

The students are learning the daily routine and schedule quickly. Many of the students know what to do when arriving in the morning and at dismissal. We have learned about most of the centers in the room and we are working really hard at trying to remember how many students can be in each center. It has been hard learning to take turns and share, but the kiddos are getting better each day!

Last week, we played at the big playground when the weather was nice. We also did a large group activity where we learned how to use watercolors. The art easel is open with watercolors this week, so be prepared to see lots of paintings coming home!

Today, the whole class was involved in creating a poster about the classroom rules. Please talk with your child about the rules of the classroom and remind them to make good choices. We did start our clip chart today. Look at the color together with your child. It is a great way to start a conversation about classroom rules and good choices!
